Combined Federal Campaign solicitation period extended

The Office of Personal Management (OPM) has extended the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) solicitation period from December 15, 2013 until January 15, 2014.  In her letter announcing the one month extension, Elaine Kaplan, Acting OPM Director said that during those uncertain days when many federal employees faced financial difficulties, many charities stepped up to help, with some federal employees taking time out to volunteer at local charities and shelters.  She encouraged federal employees to take extra time to support specific charities through the CFC.

 CAFI Needs Your Help!  Encourage Federal Workers to Designate CAFI in their Giving.

Children’s AIDS Fund International (CAFI) has participated in the CFC for over 15 years;, raising thousands of dollars for children and families who have been impacted by HIV/AIDS.   If anyone you know works in the federal government or is a member of the military let them know about the important work CAFI is doing to help limit the suffering of children and families affected by HIV.  Ask them to visit our website and read about our ongoing programs which benefit thousands of children and families, or better yet forward them one of our emails highlighting our work.  Thanks for your help.  You can share this link with people who are interested in helping.
