Amazing Progress
Unfortunately, it’s not a unique story. A grandmother caring for grandchildren after their parents have died from HIV/AIDS. But in this case, the grandmother had two sets of twins in her care.
She had no income or means to provide shelter or food for the four children, much less pay for their school fees. There was no hope.
Thankfully, this precious grandmother and her grandchildren were introduced to a Children’s AIDS Fund International (CAFI) board member—Russell Smith. After seeing their situation, he could not walk away.
The first step was to move the family from a literal shack to a small house. The second step was to provide seed funds for the grandmother to open a small business selling fruit and wood.
You can make the same kind of difference in the lives of HIV-impacted children through CAFI.
Today, the grandmother provides food and clothing for the children from her earnings, while still working to expand her business. Russell Smith continues to provide rent and school fees for the children.
Without Russell Smith’s support, this grandmother would have no hope. But because of his support, she knows she will eventually be able to expand her small business to pay for all of her grandchildren’s expenses—including rent and school fees.
You can make the same kind of difference in the lives of HIV-impacted children through CAFI. Whether you provide vocational training, medicine, or school fees, your support will exponentially change the lives of HIV impacted children.
Please consider a gift to provide health and hope today.
