DEFI Children - holiday 2014Every week scores of children gather in Kampala, Uganda to learn drawing, film making, baseball and lacrosse.    Each child is either HIV positive, HIV impacted, victims of domestic violence, or are victims of the long war in Northern Uganda.     Whatever their background, all of the children have many needs.

Children’s AIDS Fund International’s (CAFI) Ugandan partner Destiny Friends International (DEFI) has made these children a priority.   Helping educate them, teaching them practical skills, trying to ensure nourishment and shelter, and providing counsel and encouragement to face their daily challenges.

During the recent holidays, the youth gathered for a party and sent their thanks to CAFI friends and donors who support the programs they love

As a result of CAFI’s support of DEFI’s youth program, “at least we see a ray of hope,” says Emma, one of the children in the program.

With your ongoing support these children will not just survive, but thrive as they are educated and learn life skills that will provide them with healthy futures.

Thank you!
